Tahiti

The soul of the South Pacific, Tahiti is the capitol of French Polynesia and the largest in the chain of islands that make up the archipelago.

The island itself is divided into two parts: Tahiti Nui to the northwest, and the smaller, southeastern peninsula of Tahiti Iti. Tahiti Nui is dominated by three extinct volcanic mountains including Mount Orohena, Mount Aorai, and Le Diadème.

Home to the capital city of Papeete, Tahiti is the economic center of French Polynesia. Your customized Tahiti vacation will begin and end in Papeet, as all flights arrive & depart form Papeete’s airport.

While many visitors view Tahiti as merely a stopover on their way to the other islands, it is often a good choice to stay at least a day or two.
